Moser now part of the Young Driver Programme

Next Austrian arrival at the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme! Luis Moser is now part of the renowned talent factory

The Formelaustria Young Driver Programme, which was launched in June 2024 by the international sports consulting agency HM Sports and Renauer Motorsport, is a two-year programme in which kart talents and sim racers are trained to become fully-fledged Formula 4 racing drivers.

From now on, Luis Moser will also be able to benefit from the know-how of programme ambassadors Riccardo Patrese (F1 Vice World Champion 1992), Alex Wurz (two-time Le Mans winner) and David Coulthard (F1 Vice World Champion 2001), as the Viennese native has been accepted into the driver field of the first Austrian junior driver academy.

“It is a great honour to be part of the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme. I am looking forward to the support on and off the track and am sure that we will achieve a lot together,” beamed Moser.

The 16-year-old was still racing in karts this racing season, but will switch to sports cars in 2025. “I will be competing in the ADAC GT4 Germany. We are already quite far along in our discussions with the team,” he revealed.

In mid-September, Moser completed test drives in a BMW M4 GT4 G82 at the nearby Pannoniaring and did remarkably well, also convincing Formelaustria program manager Harry Miltner. “Luis is already very mature for his age and knows exactly what he wants. The team was so pleased with his first appearance that they immediately invited him to another test drive in Portugal. It was immediately clear to us that we wanted to work with him and his family,” said Miltner.

In addition to the sporting training, Moser will also receive media training from former F1 press spokeswoman Alexandra Schieren and ex-Sky F1 reporter Maren Braun as part of the program, but will also complete simulator training and other technical courses.

The 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany season begins on April 25th in the Oschersleben Motorsport Arena..
