Who exactly is Renauer Motorsport?

The Austrian racing team is service partner of the Formelaustria Young Driver Programmes. What does that mean?

After twelve years as a successful driver in Formula 3 and prototypes, Sepp Renauer hung up his helmet and founded Renauer Motorsport in 1997, of which he is still the team boss today.

The Formelaustria Young Driver Program brings karting talents and top sim racers to the international top of Formula 4 driving. Management, organization, media training and marketing are handled by the sports consulting agency HM Sports, which is behind Formelaustria.at. All racing services on and off the track are the responsibility of Renauer Motorsport.

Over the next two decades, Renauer Motorsport competed in over 500 races in various racing series, primarily in the Formula and GT classes. But the “excursion” into the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series also proved to be extremely successful, as the Racing Highlights table shows.

In 2025, the team based in Neunkirchen in Lower Austria will compete in the FIA TCR European Endurance Series with a factory-supported Hyundai Elantra N in addition to several F4 series.
