Arriving from all corners of the world, the five current talents of Austria’s new racing academy spent an eventful day in the country’s capital

Hady Mimassi flew in from Canada, Simon Schranz arrived from Tyrol, Kristyna Kalistova travelled to Vienna from the Czech Republic, while Marcel Kieser and Luis Moser had the shortest trips both hailing from the province of Lower Austria.
The quintet of teenagers came to the headquarters of the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme for the official photo shooting for the 2025 season and the programme’s inaugural gala.
Held at the historic Palais Esterhazy, the reception welcomed more than 200 international guests from the racing industry, but also from business sectors already associated with or interested in presenting themselves in motorsport.
“We wanted to get all our programme drivers and parents together, not only to take pictures and hand out the team wear. But we also intended to give them the opportunity to get to know each other and form bonds,” programme director Harry Miltner explained.

Reigning F4 CEZ Champion Oscar Wurz, EuroNASCAR 2 Runner-up Patrick Schober, and former DTM starter Mick Wishofer or ex-Formula Renault driver Corinna Kamper were among the motor racing guests.
Mimassi and Schranz will start in the 2025 FIA F4 Central European Championship, while Kieser and Kalistova will enjoy a year of extensive testing and club sport races. Moser is going to participate in the ADAC GT4 Germany.
Founded in June 2024, the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme, which is supported by F1 legends Riccardo Patrese, David Coulthard and Alex Wurz, is a springboard for young racing talents who dream of reaching F1.
Based at the Pannoniaring 120 kilometres southeast of Vienna, drivers with either a karting or a SimRacing background are trained in state-of-the-art Tatuus Formula 4 cars both on and off the track, but also enjoy physical training, mental preparation and media coaching by ex-F1 experts.
The F4 CEZ Championship commences on April 11-13 with the opening round at the notorious Red Bull Ring. The ADAC GT4 Germany takes off on April 24-27 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
