In his first-ever official race in a Formula 4 car, Formelaustria Young Driver Programme freshman Marcel Kieser impressed by taking victory.

In constantly changing weather conditions, the 16-year-old Austrian kept his cool and secured Pole Position in a hectic qualifying session on Pannoniaring in Hungary.
When the lights went out, Kieser was first out of the starting blocks and lead the field all the way to the chequered flag.
Thus, the Renauer Motorsport driver was nearly lost for words after the race: “I don’t know what to say! I still can’t believe that I have won. It’s an amazing feeling.”
Teamboss Sepp Renauer was also delighted saying: “Marcel did a great job. Before the race he was understandably nervous, but then he showed his true pace and controlled the field at the end. It was a very good start into his campaign.”
Kieser will now go back to testing at Red Bull Ring, before his next clubrace entry at Slovakia Ring in August.
