Nicole Havrda crossed the ocean to run a two-day test with the FAYDP Renauer Motorsport Team at the Slovakiaring during the week

Havrda, hailing from Courtenay, British Columbia, is one of only 18 drivers starring in the renowned F1 Academy Series, a women-only Formula 4 championship running alongside Formula One.
The 19-yer-old Canadian who has only started single-seater racing three years ago, quickly went through the ranks winning the Formula Pro USA Winter Series and the Formula Pro USA Western Championship before joining the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC). In her second season in FRAC she finished an excellent sixth and was selected for F1 Academy, where she scored her first point in 2025 with P10 at her home race in Montreal.
“The Tatuus F4 car which is used in F1 Academy is completely new to Nicole. So she needs more testing in order to make up for experience she is lacking in comparison to her opponents,” Formelaustria Young Driver Programme director Harry Miltner explained.
Together with another F1 Academy driver, Germany’s Mathilda Paatz, Havrda was a star guest at the “Ritz Carlton Grand Prix” Event in Vienna on the occasion of the Austrian Grand Prix, which was organised by Miltner’s agency HM Sports.
“That’s where I got to know Harry and we spoke about the possibilities. I am really happy how these two days of testing went. I immediately clicked with the team and we were able to run our programme making some decent progress,” Havrda said.
Team boss Sepp Renauer was content, too, saying: “Nicole is not only a lovely person, but also a talented driver. What she really needs is track time. But I think, we have been able to improve a couple of things this week.”
Formelaustria Young Driver Luis Moser was also at the Slovakiaring continuing his test programme for the 2026 F4 CEZ Championship.
