The Formelaustria Young Drivers secured three podium finishes in three races in the F4 CEZ Championship round at the Red Bull Ring
Thanks to title partner TGI AG, three cars from academy partner Renauer Motorsport were in action in Round 2 of the FIA F4 CEZ Championship in Styria. Formelaustria Young Driver Programme graduate William Karlsson from Sweden joined regulars Simon Schranz (Austria) and Hady Mimassi (Canada) on the grid.

And the trio caused a stir on the legendary roller coaster race course in the Styrian hills: Karlsson took second place twice in the TGI-branded gold and black third car, Mimassi finished third and fourth, while Schranz, still suffering from his hand injury from the season opener four weeks ago, earned valuable points with P8 & P9.
“We wanted to create a highlight in front of our home fans, and we did,” programme director Harry Miltner beamed, echoing team principal Sepp Renauer. “We knew we had the potential for these results, but achieving them is the reward for the hard work the guys and everyone in the program put in,” Renauer added.
Franz-Josef König, Head of Smart Sponsoring at TGI, was also “thrilled by this achievement, especially at their home race. The fact that we at TGI were able to support this performance makes us proud, but it is also a sign of our commitment to motorsport.”
TGI AG, based in Liechtenstein, is an internationally operating company that is setting new standards in gold trading. In addition to the classic instant purchase, it offers innovative target purchase models where customers receive monthly discounts of 2 to 4% directly into their account over a period of up to 36 months.
Thanks to the good results in Spielberg, Karlsson and Mimassi are now in P5 and P6 in the driver standings, Schranz is 14th with two races less. Renauer Motorsport leapfrogged from 7th to 3rd in the team championship.
In two weeks, the Formelaustria Young Drivers will again be in action in Round 3 of F4 CEZ at the Salzburgring.
