Formelaustria Young Driver Luis Moser showed a strong first outing in a GT4 race weekend in Barcelona

Luis Moser is currently the only non-formula driver in Austria’s new junior racing academy and will start in the renowned ADAC GT4 Germany in 2025.
To prepare himself for what will be his rookie season in the sport, the young Viennese entered the final race weekend of the GT4 Winter Series in Spain with his razoon – More Than Racing Team and made an impressive debut in the BMW M4 GT4 car on the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya.
Following P20 of 27 cars in his inaugural GT4 qualifying, Moser fought his way up to P16 in the sprint race, which meant P5 in the Pro/Am category. In the endurance race, the 16-year-old charged through the field, crossing the line on P12 overall/P4 Pro/Am, only missing out on his first-ever Pro/Am podium by just 0.9 seconds.
“It was a great experience, my first international GT4 race and even in the rain,” Moser was still enthused. “Particularly the endurance race went well, where we were able to move up from P24 to P12.”
FAYDP director Harry Miltner was also delighted about his protégé’s performance saying: “We have always known what Luis is capable of. But now, he has proven it to everyone on the track. I think, we are ahead of a good season.”
The ADAC GT4 Germany series will start on April 25-27 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
Founded in June 2024, the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme, which is supported by F1 legends Riccardo Patrese, David Coulthard or Alex Wurz, is a springboard for young racing talents who dream of reaching F1.
