Unveiled for the first time in February 2025 during the announcement of the 2026 Formula Regional Middle East edition, the Tatuus T-326 car presents itself to the motorsport world as the natural evolutionary step from the T-318, the world’s first defining Formula Regional championship single-seater.
Formula Regional is the logical step between Formula 4, which is currently the main focus of the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme, and FIA Formula 3.

The T-326 is a completely new car, designed to deliver superior performance, higher safety standards, and technical solutions aimed at improving the driving experience—making it easier and more refined to support the development of young drivers climbing the motorsport pyramid.
From an aerodynamic perspective, the car features a fully redesigned shape, developed in accordance with the new FIA technical regulations for the category and inspired by the latest trends seen in the higher tiers of Formula racing. In the Formula Regional Middle East the car is powered by a new Toyota-ATM 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine, delivering 270 HP, which makes it the perfect intermediate between F4 and FIA F3.
The chassis has been developed in compliance with the new FIA technical regulations for safety, ensuring enhanced impact resistance in all types of collisions. Other key elements, such as the front and rear crash boxes, anti-intrusion panels, and roll bar, have also been upgraded. The cockpit offers improved ergonomics and adjustability to accommodate both male and female drivers across a wider range of heights.
As it is the Formelaustria Young Driver Programme’s medium-term plan to offer its F4 programme graduates the next career step, programme director Harry Miltner and Renauer Motorsport team boss Sepp Renauer are currently looking into the possibility of entering two cars in the Formula Regional Europe Championship in the near future.
So far, only the Formula Regional Middle East Championship has confirmed running the 2nd Generation car.
