Following a great start into the Formula Winter Series F4 in Portugal, Formelaustria Young Driver Simon Schranz experienced a difficult second round in Valencia.

From the outset Schranz battled with the characteristics of the unrhythmical Ricardo Tormo Circuit and had a hard time adjusting to the conditions at the track unknown to him.
After a mixed qualifying, Schranz fought his way up from P29 to P18 in Saturday’s race and thanks to this strong performance, the Renauer Motorsport driver ended up in P5 in the rookie rankings.
Suffering from heavy contact with opponents, Schranz struggled with the wheel geometry and therefore had an unhappy Sunday. In race 2, the young Austrian finished P10 and in race 3, P11 amongst the rookies.
With hopefully more luck, Schranz will be heading to MotorLand Aragón in Alcaniz in just under 14 days. The 5.3 km long course is known to motorsport fans primarily from its MotoGP and WorldSBK races.
